Joe joined GRE first as a Business Analytics Intern in 2024 and then as a Business Intelligence Analyst in 2025. In his current role, Joe is responsible for the data side of GRE’s work: generating and scoring leads for the Business Development team, supporting the research behind GRE’s major regional initiatives, and building the internal tools and automated workflows that support the team’s research and reporting. His analysis spans labor market and industry cluster studies, regional supply chain research, and economic impact modeling.
In 2024, Joe held internships with both GRE and Edgemere Development, a Rochester-based real estate development company. At Edgemere, he supported a number of low-income housing projects, helping secure funding and awards at both the state and federal level. During his time at GRE, he contributed substantial data and analytics work to the region’s NSF Engine proposal, building patent activity, educational pipeline, and workforce models that helped make the case for Rochester’s national laser hub.
Joe graduated from the University at Albany in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in quantitative economics and data analysis and a minor in business, earning Dean’s List honors every semester. While in college, Joe completed the Senior Honors Research Program, co-founded the university’s Economics Student Association and served as its Director of Recruitment, and served as Director of Fundraising for Albany Business Leaders Emerging, the university’s largest self-funded club. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Analytics at Georgia Tech.
In 2026, TechRochester named Joe its Outstanding Student Tech Leader at the GREAT Awards. As a Fairport native, Joe takes particular pride in working on projects that benefit the region he grew up in, and enjoys the excuse to learn about a new industry every few weeks. In his spare time, you can find Joe on the golf course, at a chess board, or watching the Knicks and Packers.
