Startups Bringing Big Ideas
The future of food and agriculture is coming to #ROC.
Grow-NY Food and Agriculture Business Competition is bringing 20 finalists from around the world to Rochester on Nov. 12 and 13 to compete for $3 million in prize money, including a $1 million grand prize. This competition identifies, supports, and funds the top food, beverage, and agricultural innovations from companies worldwide.
Food Tech saw the biggest jump this year, with finalists turning byproducts into animal feed, pulling phosphorus out of wastewater, and making compostable coatings for food packaging.
Jenn Smith, Grow-NY program director, shares more in this GRE Why ROC interview with WROC’s Brennan Somers here.
