McAlpin Industries Plans $23 Million Expansion in Webster, NY


Empire State Development (ESD) announced New York State support for McAlpin Industries’ planned expansion in the Town of Webster, Monroe County.  As part of a phased-in project, the sheet metal work manufacturer plans to construct a 300,000 square-foot facility on Hard Road to support its light manufacturing operations. Work at the site will include laser cutting, forming, welding, finishing and assembly among other operations. The company plans to occupy a portion of the building through Phase 1 of the project, allowing for plans to expand operations onsite in future phases.  ESD is providing up to $1 million through the performance-based Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit Program in exchange for company commitment to create up to 52 new jobs.

Founded in 1964, McAlpin Industries is a diversified precision metal working company that provides a variety of services to the telecommunications, computer, business machine, office equipment, medical, transportation, voting equipment, electronic, warehouse management and automotive sectors. The company expects to be operational at the new facility in late 2026.

Monroe County and Greater Rochester Enterprise are also assisting with the planned expansion. The total project cost has been placed at a little more than $23 million.

This project further exemplifies New York State’s commitment to bolstering advanced manufacturing statewide, aligning with Governor Kathy Hochul’s strategic initiatives. These efforts encompass fostering shovel-ready sites, implementing workforce development programs, and championing semiconductor manufacturing. to attract and retain high-tech businesses and create premium jobs across the state.
