Plug Power, the leading provider of fuel cell technologies, is investing $125 million to support its Innovation Center in Rochester, NY — the first and largest Gigafactory for Proton Exchange Membrane technology. They are also investing $290 million to build a state-of-the-art green hydrogen production facility and electric substation at the Genesee County Economic Development Center’s Science, Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP) mega-site, strategically located between Rochester and Buffalo. STAMP was the ideal site for this expansion because of its unique amenities, including reliable, low-cost hydropower, and unlimited water supply.
