Talent, Proximity to Customers, and Hydropower Attracted Edwards to Greater Rochester
Edwards, a leading supplier of vacuum and abatement equipment essential to the semiconductor supply chain, will invest $319 million and create 600 new jobs in the Greater Rochester, NY region’s Genesee County. Edwards’ Scott Balaguer, Vice President of Global Business Development, notes, “We think there’s a great talent pool there, which includes many colleges, universities, vocational institutes, and so forth. And Edwards is a very sustainable passionate company with regard to things like science-based initiatives and targets. And so being able to run the factory on hydropower was a huge advantage for us.” Watch this GRE WROC Why Roc TV interview for more details.
